As I have mentioned before, one of the highlights of my trip to the PCA earlier this year was getting to meet most of Team Online.
Without Team Online, I likely would never have met Grzegorz (we called him Warsaw or Greg), and without having met DaWarsaw my trip to PCA certainly would have been more expensive as Greg was always one of the first to buy drinks for the crew. (thanks)
Greg quickly became a friend during PCA. He had the misfortune of having had his luggage lost en route to the Bahamas from Poland. The days went by, the phone calls proved fruitless in finding his luggage, or even its last known whereabouts. Greg remained positive, making fun of his situation, and his ever growing beard! We were able to loan him a USB cable to let him charge up his phone and download some pictures.
Fortunately after close to a week, his bags showed up, they had been in Nassau (at the airport) the whole time! Rather than getting furious at a vacation that potentially could have been ruined, he laughed it off and headed to his hotel room to shave and get into some clothes that weren’t promo t-shirts from PokerStars!
It is easy to see how someone with such a positive mindset can have the successes he has.
All in all, we had a lot of great laughs over the course of the PCA, from playing SNGs against each other, to discussion of the NBA (he loves the Heat) or his continually failing to win prop bets.
So with all that being said, here is a short film about Greg. Also, before you ask, yes, I am totally jealous of his grind station, might be the best I have seen so far!
Lastly, you can follow Greg on his blog, I have been told he offers free teaching for some Polish players to help promote and teach the game locally.
